Strengthening Local Partnerships – Oranjemund Town Council and Gibeon Village Council signed a MOU
09 September – The Oranjemund Town Council proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gibeon Village Council.
Delivering remarks on behalf of the Mayor of Oranjemund, HW Elias Kasemba, Hon. Leopold Haihambo emphasized that this agreement is more than just a document – it is a commitment to cooperation, development, and community growth. This partnership paves the way for collaboration in:
- Economic Development & Tourism Promotion
- Town Planning & Housing Development
- Environmental & Health Management
- Electricity & Emergency Services
- Finance, Human Capital & ICT
- Waste & Water Management
- Community Development & Events
- Corporate Services & Communication
Earlier this year in April, the Oranjemund Town Council also signed MOUs with Lüderitz Town Council, Aranos Town Council, Stampriet Village Council, Koes Village Council, and Gochas Village Council, demonstrating our dedication to building strong networks with local authorities across Namibia. “The future of local governance lies in collaboration. The ceremony was witnessed by OTC staff members and the Gibeon Village Council delegation, comprising:
