Strengthening Partnerships for Data-Driven Development
On Monday, 08 September 2025, the Acting CEO of the Oranjemund Town Council, Mr. Charles Kakuru, together with officials from the Council, met with the Statistician-General and CEO of the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA), Mr. Alex Shimuafeni, and his team.
The engagement centered on the official presentation of the 2023 Population and Housing Census (PHC) results, the 2023 Labour Force Census Module, regional profiles, and other key socio-economic indicators. These statistics provide valuable
insights to guide planning, policy formulation, and informed decision-making at both national and local levels.
The Oranjemund Town Council values the NSA’s commitment to sharing critical data with stakeholders and looks forward to continued collaboration to ensure evidence-based development for the benefit of the community.
